The ghost asked the shadow: "You sit, then you stand — why do you have no will of your own?"

The shadow answered: "That is because someone controls me,
 and above the one who controls me, there is another who controls him.
 How could someone as small as I ever understand why?"

A shadow appears only within the light.


Without light, there is no shadow at all.

 

Dream, Illusion, Bubble, Shadow

Everything that has ever happened, and the reason behind it — all of it is a dream.

A bubble floating in the air. Dew in the early morning.
A shadow on the ground, and a moment of light.

"Dream" is creation — from nothing, into being.

"Illusion" is a beauty you embrace, even knowing it is false.

"Bubble" is return — from being, back into nothing.

"Shadow" stands opposite the light, and is also part of it.

The highest good is like water — water benefits all things, without contending.

In The Way of Water, I speak with water through my heart, watching and learning, over long stretches of time, the way it flows.

Using the technique of acrylic fluid painting, I walk within the spirit of ink wash.

Here, colors meet, dance together, and merge — becoming, at last, the painting held within my heart.
