Fire and bamboo are both hollow at their core.

One is the essence of energy, the other, the way of life.

With the rise and fall of my own breath, I carve the flame burning within.

And within this naturally grown energy, you glimpse a life unlike any other.

 

Process

In the process of creation, I never sketch on paper first.
Instead, I follow the flow of intention, colliding with the material itself,
letting the brilliance of the moment ignite.

From curing the bamboo, to cutting, to sanding — then color, then protective coating —
layer upon layer of craft, all in service of a single thing :

the very first light.
